The assembly and installation process shall be designed to be reversible, to facilitate rapid disassembling <\/span><\/div>\n
and re-packing without damaging the parts of the products itself.  All tools\/equipment must be simple <\/span><\/div>\n
to use, of highest quality and meet international standards. <\/span>Corrosion resistance and weather proofing<\/span>\t<\/span><\/div>\n
The Incinerator units shall be designed to last in operation in a tropical environment for a minimum <\/span><\/div>\n
period of 10 years if the specified maintenance schedule is followed. All metal surfaces <\/span><\/div>\n
(except combustion chamber internal fittings) shall be either galvanized, enameled, <\/span><\/div>\n
painted or otherwise treated against atmospheric and process induced corrosion.<\/span><\/div>\n
A heat exchanger to pre-heat air destined for the primary chamber is not compulsory but recommended. <\/span>\t<\/span><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>“The incinerator shall be designed and equipped to be installed, commissioned <\/div>\n
and operated in such a way as to prevent emissions into the air giving rise to <\/div>\n
significant ground-level air pollution; in particular, exhaust gases shall be discharged <\/div>\n
in a controlled fashion by means of a stack the height of which is calculated in such a <\/div>\n
way as to safeguard human health and the environment.<\/div>\n
Size and efficiency\t<\/span>The proposed incinerator units must be complete and include <\/div>\n
all of the key features listed below and all of the associated support services and interconnections\t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>The forecasted feedstock loads, and daily loading rates are generally summarized as\t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>\u2022 Mixed general, clinical and incinerable hazardous wastes with a wide range <\/div>\n
of calorific values and densities.  The majority of the wastes will be of a general <\/div>\n
municipal nature, with up to 15% by volume of medical wastes and up to 5% by <\/div>\n
volume of incinerable hazardous wastes.  The content of the combustible matter <\/div>\n
will be above 60% and moisture content below 30%.  The wastes will be crudely <\/div>\n
pre-mixed by selective loading from different waste streams prior to incinerator loading. \t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>\u2022 Wastes either small enough to fit within a 60 litre waste sack or broken up<\/div>\n
 or shredded to less than 300mm in size.\t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>\u2022 Operation on a daytime shift basis, 5 days per week.\t<\/span><\/div>\n
\n
Team compositions and tools\/equipment list\/description shall be detailed in the <\/div>\n
assembly, disassembly and Packing Manuals.  Provision for the use of video weblinks <\/div>\n
(in English with French and Arabic subtitles) showing the assembly process and, <\/div>\n
separately, the disassembly process is required.  Manuals are to be produced in English and French.\t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>The Contractor shall deploy an expert incinerator operator, fully equipped <\/div>\n
with all required tools and equipment, to support the client in un-packing, installation,<\/div>\n
 and commissioning of the different sizes of incinerator units. \t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>The operator will be provided on a day-rate reimbursable basis. The bidder must <\/div>\n
specify the minimum scope of work in terms of operator working days and travel days.<\/div>\n

\t<\/span>All associated fittings and connections to enable full functionality shall be completed <\/div>\n
by the bidder in line with the manufacturer\u2019s instructions; including but not limited to <\/div>\n
piping, electrical and stack connections, foundations, anchorage to foundations, etc., as applicable<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\t<\/span>\u2022 An 8 hour daily operating cycle of ash removal, pre-heat and burn with continuous<\/div>\n
 loading if required.  The automated burn completion and cool down cycle will take place overnight.\t<\/span><\/div>\n
\t<\/span>\u2022 The incinerators shall be capable of using diesel fuel as a supplemental fuel while<\/div>\n
 the associated management equipment shall be capable of using electricity as the primary power source\t<\/span><\/div>\n
